Department Summary
The purpose of the Information Technology (IT) Division is to provide the technology that empowers SDSU’s success. The IT Division comprises several departments and areas, all sharing the mission to leverage people and technology in support of SDSU’s commitment to innovative teaching, research, and service. The IT Division is led by the Chief Information Officer, who is ultimately responsible for developing the long-term infrastructure, services, and strategy necessary to support the University’s mission of learning, discovery, and engagement. The IT Division has the stewardship responsibility for core IT assets on campus and the obligation to provide the services, training, and community-building necessary to realize the benefits of those investments across the San Diego State University community. The IT Division comprises 184 staff members and 28 administrators.
The ERP Systems unit within the Information Technology Division leads and supports critical enterprise-level transactional systems for the university. These systems include my.SDSU (PeopleSoft) Campus Solutions, PeopleSoft HCM, Oracle E-Business Suite for financials, Hyland OnBase Imaging and Workflow, and other related and legacy systems in use. ERP Systems is collectively responsible for database administration, analysis and development, application system administration, and application security.

Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree OR four (4) years of directly related work experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree. In addition, a minimum of three (3) years of experience in business systems analysis is required, which must be in addition to the education or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite Financials (12.x) or related ERP financial systems, including implementation, support, and maintenance
- Proficiency in SQL and data analysis, including writing queries to extract and format data for both technical and functional stakeholders
- Familiarity with financial workflows such as procure-to-pay and order-to-cash, with a plus for knowledge of public sector accounting principles like accrual accounting and encumbrances
- Experience supporting and developing Oracle technologies such as APEX, XML Publisher, document imaging, and workflow systems
- Proficiency in desktop computing and productivity tools, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, SQL*Plus, SFTP, SSH, and various database query and image capture tools

Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $8,086 per month.
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
