| Cal Poly Humboldt and the Department of Art + Film invites applicants for a full-time, academic year, tenure-track faculty position with an emphasis in Media Arts, with a primary focus on teaching film production from an interdisciplinary perspective. We seek an artist-scholar who integrates creative and ethical storytelling in their work and engages with interdisciplinary practices. Candidates with the ability to teach cinematography and/or sound design preferred. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of the new BFA in Media Arts and help shape its future direction. We are particularly interested in candidates who engage with hybrid or collaborative practices that intersect with Animation, Design, Sound, Photography, or other emerging media fields. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in filmmaking and a strong ability to teach across at least one additional emphasis area within the program—Animation, Design, Sound, or Photography. |
