| The full-time Assistant/Associate/Full Professor is responsible for teaching, course development, and student mentorship for the MSPA program. The successful candidate must share in the mission of CSUSB and the MSPA program, as well as be a strong advocate for the PA profession. The faculty member is also actively involved in multiple facets of the program, including accreditation, assessment, admissions, and programmatic review. Recruitment is for one position, with a one-year appointment for the 2025-26 Academic Year, with the potential to renew for a second year. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. An MA in sociology or a closely related field and a successful teaching record are required. ABD or PhD in sociology or closely related field is preferred.
Primary duties and responsibilities include teaching classes in social change, social movements, international political economy, criminology, and/or family and the life course. The teaching load is 3-4 four-unit courses per quarter for a total of 45 total units across the 2025-26 academic year. |
